Come chill in nature, find brotherhood.
A peer-led residential for trans men aged 25 and over, set in the Forest of Dean. No hierarchy of maleness. No question or condition.
What Brother Nature is
We welcome men of trans experience, aged 25 and over, at any stage of transition and any presentation.
We recognise there are all types of men and different ways of relating to maleness. We appreciate that gender expression and gender identity are distinct, and we welcome men of all gender expressions.
Every man who attends is received as a man, without question or condition. At Brother Nature, there is no hierarchy of maleness.
We love and support our trans and non-binary+ siblings, and equally, this residential is explicitly for trans men.
Intersectional by design, built for the men most often left out.
Many of the men who join us have drifted from community altogether. Brother Nature focuses on reaching those who face the highest rates of isolation and exclusion.
-
Disabled trans men
Wellbeing spaces are often physically inaccessible, financially out of reach, or simply not built with disabled men in mind.
-
Trans men of colour
Navigating racism within queer and trans spaces on top of every other barrier, and among the least represented in any provision.
-
Older trans men
Many transitioned before today's community infrastructure existed, and have spent decades in isolation as a result.
-
Trans men perceived as cis
Including within LGBTQ+ spaces, where their experience is too often assumed away rather than understood.
Join us this autumn.
